In this Privacy Policy:

"F3 Financial Services" "we", "our", and "us" means F3 Financial Services Pty Ltd As Trustee For The F3 Unit Trust. 
 

National Privacy Principles

F3 Financial Services is bound by the National Privacy Principles. 
 

How will you collect personal information from me and how will you use it?

Our business is to provide financial planning advice and other services to enable individuals to understand their financial needs and make financial and investment decisions. To do this effectively, we need to collect certain personal information.

The type of personal information we may collect can include (but is not limited to) name, address, date of birth, contact details, income, assets and liabilities, account balances, account numbers, tax file number, tax and financial statements, photo identification and employment details.

We obtain most of the information directly from our clients through applications and other forms.  We may also obtain information from other sources.
 
If we are arranging applications for death, sickness and disability insurance we usually need to collect sensitive information. Sensitive information is subject to greater restrictions.

If you choose not to provide the information we need to ensure our advice is appropriate to your situation, we may not be able to provide you with advice or recommend a service or product.
 

How will you protect and safeguard my personal information that is supplied to you?

Safeguarding the privacy of your information is important to us whether you interact with us personally, by phone, mail, over the internet or other electronic medium.

We hold personal information in a combination of secure computer storage facilities, paper-based files, other records and we take steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
 

Does F3 Financial Services usually share information with other companies?

F3 Financial Services does not usually share information with anyone else other than its internal staff and advisers on a restricted basis.  It does share information as required by law e.g. the ATO, Centrelink. We do not sell mailing lists. 
 

How does F3 Financial Services handle a request for access to personal information?

Under the National Privacy Principles you are generally entitled to access the information we hold about you.  Where you are entitled to access, the time we require to give you access will depend on the type of information requested.  If we can, we will answer your question immediately.  We will also try to answer you in the same way that you ask, for example, if you telephone to ask for the information we will, if practicable, give you that information over the telephone.  We will generally respond to a written request in writing.

Sometimes, we will ask that you put your request in writing, for example, where you want copies of material or access to older information or files which are not current or it is necessary for us to retain a record of your request.

We may also ask you to identify yourself to our satisfaction. 

In some circumstances, we may charge a fee for giving you access, which will vary but will be based on our costs (internal and external) in locating the information and the form of access you require. If we propose to charge a fee for giving access, we will give you an estimate of the fee so you can confirm that you still want us to give you access to the information. We do not impose any charge for lodging a request for access.

If we are entitled under the National Privacy Principles to refuse to give you access, we will tell you and provide reasons if we choose to refuse to give you access.
 

If I have a complaint in regard to my privacy, to whom do I direct my complaint?

If you consider that any action by F3 Financial Services breaches this Privacy Policy Statement or the National Privacy Principles or otherwise doesn’t respect your privacy, you can make a complaint.  This will be acted upon promptly.

If you are not satisfied with the response of FYG, you can telephone the Commonwealth Privacy Commissioner’s hotline on 1300 363 992.
